VOTING BY MAIL BALLOT


NOTICE:

AB 321 was passed during the 81st Legislation Session. All active registered voters in the State of Nevada will be sent a Mail Ballot. Voters will still have the opportunity to vote in-person at a Carson City designated polling location.

Individuals registering 13 days before the election will not be sent a Mail Ballot and will have to vote in-person (except for an emergency).

A voter may opt out of receiving a Mail Ballot no later than 60 days before the election by completing and submitting a Mail Ballot Preference Form. The voter must opt back in if they wish to receive a Mail Ballot if they have previously opted out.

Emergency Mail Ballot Request Form

Submit your written request to the Carson City Clerk's Office, 885 E Musser St., Ste. 1025, Carson City, NV 89701.  Please provide the following information and be sure to sign your request:

  • Your full, legal name

  • Your physical residence within Carson City

  • Your mailing address, if different than your physical address within Carson City. 

  • Which election you would like to vote by absent ballot (Primary and/or General and/or Special)

  • Sign your request

Remember:  If you registered to vote by mail, you may be required to provide identification and proof of residency when you vote for the first time.  Including voting by Mail Ballot.  Please submit your completed Mail Ballot with a copy of your identification and proof of residency if voting for the first time and you registered to vote by mail.
